Meet Elia and Isaya – The Heart Behind Salia Africa
Isaya Kilimbey Mollel, a proud member of the Maasai tribe, grew up near the world-famous Ngorongoro Conservation Area. From a young age, he lived in harmony with nature, developing an intimate connection with the wildlife and traditions of his people. Determined to turn his passion into a profession, he trained at the Tourism and Safari College in Moshi, near Mount Kilimanjaro, becoming a certified safari guide.
With over 12 years in the field, Isaya has led expeditions across East Africa, worked as a mountain guide on Kilimanjaro, and served as a safari coordinator and driver-guide. His deep knowledge of the land, wildlife, and local cultures paired with a strong commitment to excellence has earned him the trust and admiration of travellers from around the world.
During his journey, Isaya met Elia Mlata, whose own passion for tourism began early in life. Inspired by the wild landscapes and vibrant cultures of East Africa, Elia built his career as a safari sales agent, designing personalized safari packages for clients from across the World.
His 10 years of experience with top travel companies gave him a deep understanding of what travellers truly seek, not just beautiful destinations, but meaningful experiences and lasting memories.
Together, Isaya and Elia recognized an opportunity to go beyond the traditional safari model. They envisioned a new kind of travel which is authentic, emotionally rich, and thoughtfully tailored to each individual traveller. From that vision, Salia Africa was born.
The name “Salia Africa”, meaning “Remain in Africa”, reflects the deep emotional bond that many travellers feel after experiencing this extraordinary continent. Africa touches the soul and once you’ve been, a part of you will always remain.
